DATA PROCESSING BY US
The data entered by you on our social media sites, such as e.g. comments, videos, pictures, likes, public messages etc. are published by the social media platform and at no time used or processed by us for other purposes. We merely reserve the right to delete content should this be necessary. We share your content on our site as appropriate, if this is a function of the social media platform, and communicate with you via the social media platform. The legal basis is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. The data processing takes place in the interests of our public relations activities and communication.
If you would like to object to particular data processing upon which we have influence, please use the contact details given in the imprint section. We will check your objection or, if need be, pass it on to the social media platform.
If you make an enquiry with us on the social media platform, we will, after giving the necessary answer, refer you where appropriate to other, more secure channels of communication that guarantee confidentiality. You always have possibility of sending confidential enquiries to us at the address named in the imprint.
As already stated, in the areas in which the provider of the social media platform makes it possible for us, we take care to make our social media sites are as data protection compliant as possible. We therefore, in particular, do not use the demographic, interests-based, behaviour-based or location-based target group definitions for advertising that the operator of the social media platform possibly makes available to us. As regards the statistics made available to us by the provider of the social media platform, we only have slight influence upon them and also cannot switch them off. We make sure, however, that no additional, optional statistics are made available to us.
DATA PROCESSING BY THE OPERATOR OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM
The operator of the social media platform uses web tracking methods. In this process, web tracking can also take place regardless of whether you are logged onto or registered with the social media platform. As already outlined, we unfortunately have hardly any influence upon the web tracking methods of the social media platform. We cannot switch this off, for example.
Please be aware of the following: It cannot be ruled out that the provider of the social media platform uses your profile and behaviour data to analyse your habits, personal relationships, preferences etc. for instance. In this respect, we have no influence upon the processing of your data by the provider of the social media platform.
YOUR RIGHTS AS USER
In the processing of your personal data, the GDPR guarantees you as a website user certain rights which you can exercise both towards us and towards the social media platform:
1.) Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR):
You have the right to demand confirmation of whether personal data relating to you is processed; if this is the case, then you have a right to information about this personal data and to the information individually listed in Art. 15 GDPR.
2.) Right to correction and erasure (Art. 16 and 17 GDPR):
You have the right to demand the immediate correction of incorrect personal data relating to you and if applicable the completion of incomplete personal data.
You also have the right to demand that personal data relating to you is immediately deleted, provided that one of the reasons individually stated in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the pursued purposes.
3.) Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR):
You have the right to demand the restriction of processing if one of the preconditions listed in Art. 18 GDPR is met, e.g. if you have lodged an objection against the processing, for the duration of any examining.
4.) Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR):
In certain cases, which are individually stated in Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data relating to you in a structured, common and machine-readable format and/or to demand the sending of this data to a third party.
5.) Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR):
If data is being collected on the basis of point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR (data processing for the safeguarding of legitimate interests), you have the right, for reasons arising from your special situation, to lodge at any time an objection against processing. We then no longer process the personal data, unless there are demonstrably compelling reasons worthy of protection for the processing that outweigh the interests, rights and freedoms of the person in question, or the processing is for the enforcement, exercising or defence of legal rights.
RIGHT TO COMPLAIN TO A REGULATORY AUTHORITY
According to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of the data relating to you infringes legal data privacy regulations. The right to complain can in particular be exercised with a regulatory authority in the member state of your place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
